Cook for my dog?
Our Original Base-Mix requires some preparation, but don't worry, you're not cooking dinner for your dog every night. You cook a "batch=10 cups" at a time, of freshly prepared food. Health begins in the kitchen, diet is perhaps the most important aspect to maintaining a dog's health, besides love of course!
Dogs love our Original Base-Mix, even the most finicky of dogs will thank you by cleaning their bowls. It's that good, in fact so good, once your dog has had a taste he or she will never settle for anything else. A food your dog will love to eat and love you for feeding it!
Commercial dog foods use preservatives to increase shelf life and artificial flavoring to enhance the way the food looks and tastes. Fresh meat does not "stay fresh" at room temperature for more than a few hours. These additives can have detrimental effects on your dog's short and long term health.

The directions seemed a bit ambiguous regarding the nutrient packet. Wasn’t sure when to add during cooking or measured after and added to cooked food. I did both ways. The packet didn’t last through the servings my vet wanted me to serve per meal. I definitely learned the hard way soaking overnight is not effective at all to get ahead start on the cooking process. Lol.
I prepare it with ground turkey that I brown in the pot and then add ingredients as directed. It is so easy. I make it in 4 cup batches. That lasts about a week. They love it and I know they are getting good food without any unnatural or chemicals. Thanks for providing this great dog food. Mary
Mater seems to get tired of all the dog food products I give him Except Happy
My dog loves the original dog food. Every morning when he gets up he goes right to the refrigerator and waits for his food. He has never done that.
My Roxy, 13year old lab, was recently diagnosed with cancer. She had weight loss, no appetite, and general fatigue as well as abnormal renal labs. My vet recommended Happy Dog. I combine it with lean beef and have been very successful. She still has her 2 daily short walks, energized and loves her mealtime. Thanks for a very good product as well as a competent vet.
One of my dogs was not liking the kibble he was raised on and the breeder suggested adding wet food. He quickly got tired of the canned variety when a friend suggested we try Happy Dog Food. She fosters rescue dogs and says all her dogs have loved it. Both of our dogs have been happy with the new food; no more half eaten meals! We like how we make the food so know what is going into it and the ingredients list is simple, whole foods.
My male, 6 year old Sealyham Terrier was diagnosed with acute Pancreatitis about 6 weeks ago. A fellow Sealy owner recommended Happy Dog food, saying she has given it to her dog for over 2 years since it had pancreatitis. My boy loved it, and he had been very picky and not wanting to eat for 2 weeks. He is healthy now and I am continuing to give him Happy Dog food twice a day. My 14 year old Sealy loves it too. I plan to continue making this wonderful food for both of them.
My Black Russian terrier loves the food
My fur babies are very happy and healthy.
