Cook for my dog?
Our Original Base-Mix requires some preparation, but don't worry, you're not cooking dinner for your dog every night. You cook a "batch=10 cups" at a time, of freshly prepared food. Health begins in the kitchen, diet is perhaps the most important aspect to maintaining a dog's health, besides love of course!
Dogs love our Original Base-Mix, even the most finicky of dogs will thank you by cleaning their bowls. It's that good, in fact so good, once your dog has had a taste he or she will never settle for anything else. A food your dog will love to eat and love you for feeding it!
Commercial dog foods use preservatives to increase shelf life and artificial flavoring to enhance the way the food looks and tastes. Fresh meat does not "stay fresh" at room temperature for more than a few hours. These additives can have detrimental effects on your dog's short and long term health.

The directions seemed a bit ambiguous regarding the nutrient packet. Wasn’t sure when to add during cooking or measured after and added to cooked food. I did both ways. The packet didn’t last through the servings my vet wanted me to serve per meal. I definitely learned the hard way soaking overnight is not effective at all to get ahead start on the cooking process. Lol.
I prepare it with ground turkey that I brown in the pot and then add ingredients as directed. It is so easy. I make it in 4 cup batches. That lasts about a week. They love it and I know they are getting good food without any unnatural or chemicals. Thanks for providing this great dog food. Mary
I have been a Happy Dog customer for 5 years and all three schnauzers love it, I add ground beef roast or turkey also like baked chicken but they have told me they like dark meat the best. Then for a little added flavor I add chicken liver oh boy now we have something good.
