Single Serving
Combine:
1 cup Hearty & Healthy Express Base Mix
2 cups boiling water
Allow to fully hydrate.
Add:
1 cup fresh protein
1 teaspoon nutrient supplement
Stir thoroughly before serving.
Batch Preparation
Bring 8 cups water and 1.5 pounds fresh protein to a boil.
Turn off heat and stir in 4–5 cups Express Base Mix.
Cover and allow to hydrate as it cools.

Divide the daily amount into two servings. Food must be fully hydrated before serving. Adjust portions based on age, activity level, and metabolism. Refrigerate leftovers and discard if not used within 3 days.

Zeke turned 6 this year and he's doing fantastic! Have been feeding him the Hearty and Healthy Express since at least 2022 and I believe earlier. He LOVES his meals and starts drooling a lot the minute I take it out of the refrigerator. Licks his bowl clean!!! I wish I could get more people to feed it to their dogs, but no one that I talk to wants to go through the extra work and time :-(. Even thought it REALLY doesn't take that much work and time!!! I know Zeke is healthier for feeding him this way!

This is Abbey Rose and she’s the third baby I’ve given this food to. My first girl almost died at 14. We changed to this decades ago and she lived until 19. The next girl was 4 when we rescued and she lived until 16 on this diet. I hope Abbey gets all the years we can give her.

Ralph is a very picky eater. We tried everything trying to find what he would eat on a regular basis. He is into the third month of Happy Dog and loves it!
My heeler had basically stopped wanting to eat her dry food when she was maybe 4-6 months old. I had wanted to try a homemade food, but didn't want to pay a crazy high price. I also wanted the flexibility of adding my own meat, and didn't want to have to do mental gymnastics to make sure the nutritional element was sufficient. When I found Happy Dog Food I knew immediately it would be a great option for us. I ordered a sampler, and my pup scarfed all of it down! We've been using Happy Dog Food for over 18 months and now feed it to our second heeler as well. They both LOVE it!!! Meal time is always their favorite time LOL

We have been adding the grains to a slow cooked natural meat based dog food. We cook the grains in bone broth and then mix into the meat based food. The dogs love the flavor and seem to really enjoy the addition.

We mix a little extra meat than recommended on the instructions, but this a preference (plus it is great for our fur babies).
